Sinopsis

A mediados de la década de 1970 en Johannesburgo, el oficial de policía blanco Andre Stander (Thomas Jane) sufre una crisis de conciencia debido a su participación en el apartheid y se convierte en un notorio ladrón de bancos a la fuga. Entre 1983 y 1984, la «banda de Stander» (Stander, Alan Heyl y Patrick McCall) roba hasta cuatro bancos al día.
